# Deposit Funds

### Overview

Bink makes it easy to add funds to your account with multiple deposit options designed to meet you wherever you are in your crypto journey. Whether you're new to Bitcoin or an experienced crypto user, you can deposit funds using the method that works best for you.

All deposits are automatically added to your **Savings Balance** and begin earning yield immediately through secure DeFi protocols powered by Blend vaults.

### Deposit Methods

#### Bitcoin (BTC)

Deposit Bitcoin from any wallet or exchange using two networks:

**Bitcoin Network L1**

* Traditional Bitcoin blockchain
* \~10 minutes processing time
* Best for larger deposits
* No Bink fees (network fees apply)
* Unlimited deposit amount

**Lightning Network**

* Near-instant processing
* Ideal for smaller, frequent deposits
* No Bink fees (network fees apply)

#### Stablecoins (USDC)

Deposit USDC from any major blockchain network:

**Supported Networks:**

* Botanix
* Ethereum
* Polygon
* Arbitrum One
* Base
* Cronos 
* Telos
* Sonic
* NEAR
* Avalanche
* Scroll

Simply select your network, get your deposit address, and send USDC from your wallet or exchange. Processing typically takes 5 minutes depending on network confirmations.

#### Fiat Currency (Coming soon)

Don't have crypto yet? No problem. Buy Bitcoin directly with traditional payment methods:

**Credit or Debit Card**

* Instant purchases
* Visa, Mastercard, and other major cards accepted
* Minimum purchase: $20

**Bank Transfer**

* Lower fees for larger amounts
* Processing: 0-3 days
* Up to $1M daily limit
* Direct deposit from your bank account

> **Note:** First-time fiat purchases require KYC (Know Your Customer) verification through our partner Moonpay. This is a one-time process that typically takes 5-10 minutes with a valid ID.

### What Happens After You Deposit?

Once your deposit is confirmed:

1. **Funds are credited** to your balance
2. **You receive a notification and email** confirming the deposit
3. **Funds are available** to use for trading, borrowing, sending, or withdrawing

### Deposit Limits & Fees

#### Minimums

* **Bitcoin (L1)**: equivalent of $5
* **USDC**: 0.50 USDC
* **Fiat (Card)**: $20
* **Fiat (Bank Transfer)**: Varies by region

#### Fees

* **Bitcoin & USDC deposits**: No Bink fees (only network fees apply)
* **Credit/Debit Card**: Payment processing fees vary (\~3.5%)
* **Bank Transfer**: $0-$4 depending on amount

> **Important:** Always send only the specified asset to each deposit address. Sending the wrong cryptocurrency to an address may result in permanent loss of funds.

### Security & Processing

#### Network Confirmations

Different networks require different confirmation times for security:

* **Lightning Network**: Instant
* **Bitcoin L1**: 1 confirmation (\~10 minutes)
* **Ethereum & EVM chains**: 3-15 confirmations (\~5 minutes)

Ready to add funds? From your home screen:

1. Tap **Add Funds**
2. Choose your deposit method:
   * **I already have Bitcoin** → Deposit from wallet/exchange
   * (Coming soon) **I don't have Bitcoin yet** → Buy with card or bank transfer
   * **Add USDC** → Deposit stablecoins
3. Follow the on-screen instructions
