### Overview

Bink makes it easy to exchange between Bitcoin and USDC directly within the app through seamless integration with Bitzy, a decentralized exchange (DEX) built natively on the Botanix network. Whether you need stablecoins for spending or want to convert dollars back to Bitcoin, swapping is instant, secure, and executed at competitive market rates.

All swaps happen on-chain through Bitzy's liquidity pools, ensuring you always get transparent, decentralized pricing without relying on centralized intermediaries.

### Supported Swaps

#### Bitcoin ↔ USDC

The primary swap pair in Bink is Bitcoin (BTC) to USDC stablecoin, and vice versa:

**BTC → USDC**

* Convert Bitcoin to dollars instantly
* Use for spending, borrowing, or transferring
* Maintain purchasing power during volatility
* Access stablecoin liquidity without selling to fiat

**USDC → BTC**

* Convert dollars back to Bitcoin
* Dollar-cost average into BTC positions
* Capture Bitcoin exposure when opportunities arise
* Rebuild Bitcoin holdings from stablecoin earnings

Both directions use the same efficient liquidity pools, ensuring consistent pricing and minimal slippage.

### How Swapping Works

#### Exchange Interface

The swap interface is designed for simplicity:

**From Section:**

* Enter the amount you want to swap
* Select the asset (BTC or USDC)
* Your available balance is displayed
* Use "Max" button to swap entire balance

**To Section:**

* The equivalent amount is calculated automatically
* Amount updates in real-time as you type

#### Live Rate Display

The current exchange rate is shown at the bottom of the swap interface:

This rate reflects the real-time market price on Bitzy's liquidity pools. The rate updates dynamically to reflect current market conditions.

#### Swap Fee

Each swap incurs a small fee that covers:

* **Bitzy DEX fee** - Paid to liquidity providers (typically 0.3% of swap amount)
* **Bink service fee** - Additional 0.3% on top of DEX fee
* **Network gas fee** - Botanix transaction cost (\~$0.02)

**Total fee:** Approximately **0.6%** of swap amount + minimal gas

### Frequently Asked Questions

**Q: How fast are exchanges?** A: Typically 4-5 seconds from confirmation to settlement on Botanix.

**Q: Can I cancel an exchange after initiating it?** A: No. Once confirmed on-chain, exchanges are immediate and irreversible.

**Q: Why do I need BTC for gas when exchanging USDC?** A: All Botanix transactions require BTC for gas fees, even USDC exchanges. Gas sponsorship might be coming soon to eliminate this requirement.

**Q: What happens if the rate changes while I'm confirming?** A: Slippage tolerance protects you. If the rate moves beyond acceptable limits, the transaction fails and your funds remain unchanged. You can retry at the new rate.

**Q: Can I exchange other assets besides BTC and USDC?** A: Currently, Bink focuses on BTC/USDC as the primary trading pair. Additional assets may be added in the future as the Botanix ecosystem expands.

**Q: Is there a spread on top of the displayed rate?** A: No hidden spreads. The rate displayed is the actual execution rate from Bitzy's pools. The only costs are the disclosed 0.6% fee plus gas.
