#### Sending to Other Bink Users

The fastest and easiest way to transfer funds is to other Bink users.

**Benefits:**

* Instant transfer
* Very low network fees
* Simple process - just enter their @usertag or select from contacts
* No long addresses to copy or verify

**What Happens:** You enter the recipient's @usertag (e.g., @alice), specify the amount in BTC or USDC, add an optional note, and confirm with biometric authentication. The recipient receives a notification immediately and can see the transaction in their Recent Transactions.

#### Sending to Bitcoin Addresses

Send Bitcoin to any address on the Bitcoin blockchain.

**Use Cases:**

* Withdraw to your hardware wallet
* Send to exchanges or other platforms
* Pay merchants accepting Bitcoin
* Transfer to other wallets

**What Happens:** You paste or scan a Bitcoin address, enter the amount you want to send, and confirm the transaction. The transaction is broadcast to the Botanix network with a very low network fee. Funds arrive in approximately 10-20 minutes on the Bitcoin blockchain.

**Network fees**

When sending a transaction to a Bitcoin Address, there are two fees that will have to be paid: Botanix network fee and the Bitcoin network fee.

#### Paying Lightning Invoices

Pay instant Bitcoin payments via the Lightning Network.

**What Is Lightning?** Lightning is a second-layer network that enables instant, low-cost Bitcoin transactions. Perfect for small purchases, tips, and everyday payments.

**What Happens:** You scan or paste a Lightning invoice, review the payment details (amount and description), and confirm. The payment settles instantly in milliseconds with ultra-low fees (\~$0.01 or less). Lightning is ideal for micropayments and situations requiring immediate settlement.

### Receive Funds

#### What You Can Receive

* Bitcoin on Botanix
* USDC on Botanix

#### Receiving from Other Bink Users

**Your Usertag:** Your unique @usertag (e.g., @alice) is your universal receiving handle. Anyone on Bink can send you funds instantly using just your usertag—no long addresses needed.

Share your @usertag via message, email, or social media. When someone sends funds to your usertag, you receive an instant notification and the funds appear immediately in your Available Balance. It's the simplest way to receive payments in Bink.

**QR code or wallet address**: You generate your Botanix wallet address (EVM-compatible address) from your Receive screen. This address can receive Bitcoin on the Botanix network. You can share this address by:

* Displaying a QR code for easy scanning
* Copying and sharing your Botanix wallet address

Once the sender initiates the transaction on Botanix, funds arrive in approximately 5 seconds and appear in your Available Balance.

### Frequently Asked Questions

**Q: Can I cancel a transaction after sending?** A: No. Bitcoin and blockchain transactions are irreversible once confirmed. Always verify details before confirming.

**Q: What if I sent to the wrong address?** A: Unfortunately, if you sent to an incorrect address, the funds are likely lost permanently. Always verify addresses carefully before sending.

**Q: How do I know the recipient received my payment?** A: Check your Recent Transactions. Once status shows "Completed," the transaction is confirmed on the blockchain. The recipient will also receive a notification (if sending to Bink user).

**Q: Can I send from my Savings Balance?** A: No. You must first move funds from Savings to Available Balance before sending. This protects your yield-earning funds from accidental sends.

**Q: Are there daily or weekly send limits?** A: No. You can send as much as you have in your Available Balance with no arbitrary platform limits.

**Q: How do I track a sent transaction on the blockchain?** A: Tap the transaction in your history, copy the Transaction ID, and paste it into a [Botanix blockchain explorer](https://botanixscan.io/) to view the transaction details.

**Q: What's the difference between my @usertag and my Botanix address?** A: Your @usertag is a user-friendly handle for receiving from other Bink users (instant, no fees). Your Botanix address (EVM address) is for receiving from external wallets or platforms on the Botanix network. Bink users can also use your Botanix address but the usertag is easier.

**Q: Can I receive Bitcoin from Coinbase or other exchanges directly?** A: Yes, just use the Deposit Funds functionality on the home screen.
