# Withdraw funds

Bink is built on Bitcoin, and the cleanest way to move money out of the app is to convert everything back into BTC and send it to a wallet you control. This guide walks through that end to end.

{% hint style="info" %}
**Heads-up: USDC can't be offramped directly.**

Bink doesn't currently support sending USDC to other chains or off to fiat. All funds, including any dollars you're holding as USDC, leave the app as BTC. The steps below cover how to do that.
{% endhint %}

{% hint style="success" %}
**The four steps**

1. Pay off any debt to release your collateral
2. Release funds from savings accounts (both BTC and USDC)
3. Swap any USDC into BTC
4. Send your BTC to an external wallet over Bitcoin L1 or Lightning
 {% endhint %}

### Step 1 — Pay off your debt and release your collateral

If you've borrowed USDC against your bitcoin, your BTC is locked as collateral and Bink won't let you send it anywhere until the loan is closed. Repaying releases that BTC back into your available balance.

1. From the home screen, open **Borrow**.
2. You'll see your **Currently Borrowing** amount in USDC and your **Collateral** in BTC. Tap **Repay**.
3. Enter the full amount you owe, or tap **Max** to repay everything in one go. You'll need at least that amount of USDC available to cover it. Click **Repay**.
4. Confirm Repay.

Once the repayment goes through, your collateral BTC moves from "locked" back to your available bitcoin balance, and you're free to swap or send it. The whole process takes a few seconds.

### Step 2 — Withdraw any funds from savings

If you've been earning yield on BTC or USDC, those funds sit in a separate **savings balance** and need to be moved back to your **available balance** before you can swap or send them. Funds in savings can't be spent or transferred directly.

You'll need to do this once for each asset you have in savings — once for BTC, once for USDC, or both.

1. From the home screen, tap the asset you want to withdraw from savings (**BTC** or **USDC**).
2. Tap **Withdraw**.
3. Enter the amount, or tap **Max** to move everything from savings to available.
4. Review the summary — funds move **From: Earnings Balance** **To: Available Balance** — and confirm.

The transfer happens immediately.

If you have both BTC and USDC in savings, repeat the steps for the second asset before moving on.

### Step 3 — Swap your USDC into BTC

Bink currently offramps in BTC only — directly to Bitcoin L1, or over Lightning. Sending USDC out to another chain (like Ethereum or Base) is not available. To get your dollars off the platform, you'll convert them to BTC first.

1. Open the **Swap** tab from the bottom navigation.
2. Set the top field (**From**) to USDC and the bottom field (**To**) to BTC.
3. Tap **Max** to swap everything, or enter a specific amount.
4. Check the rate and the fee shown beneath the **Swap** button, then tap **Swap** to confirm.

### Step 4 — Send your BTC to an external wallet

Now that everything is consolidated into BTC, you can send it out. Bink supports two networks for this: **Bitcoin L1** (the main Bitcoin network) and **Lightning**.

Which should you pick?

* **Bitcoin L1** — best for larger amounts, or when you're sending to a hardware wallet, an exchange, or any wallet that doesn't support Lightning. Takes about 10 minutes on average to arrive (two block confirmations).
* **Lightning** — best for smaller, everyday amounts. Instant, and tiny network fees. Your receiving wallet has to support Lightning.

#### Sending to Bitcoin L1

1. From the home screen, open **Transfer** → **Pay**.
2. Paste or scan the receiving BTC address from your external wallet. Double-check the first and last few characters match — Bitcoin transactions can't be reversed.
3. Enter the amount in dollars or BTC. Tap **Max** to send everything.
4. Review the summary: amount, destination, and network fee.
5. Confirm.

The funds leave Bink almost immediately. They typically arrive in your external wallet within around 10 minutes, once the Bitcoin network has confirmed the transaction twice.

#### Sending over Lightning

1. In your external Lightning wallet, generate an invoice for the amount you want to receive. Copy the invoice string (it starts with `lnbc...`).
2. In Bink, open **Transfer** → **Pay**.
3. Paste the Lightning invoice. Bink will read the amount from the invoice automatically.
4. Confirm the transaction.

The payment is instant — funds arrive in the receiving wallet within seconds.

### You're done

That's it. Your funds are now back in a wallet you control, off of Bink.
